I am from San Diego, CA. Growing up on the West Coast, the ocean, rock music, and movies ruled my life. Moving to New York City flipped my whole hedonistic perspective on its head. Yes, I make my art for the pleasure of being alive. No, however, my art is not made lightly, my films are precious to me, and the messages they bring lay heavy on my heart.

Throughout my time as an undergraduate at NYU, I have gained immense and invaluable knowledge both in and outside the classroom. I have learned about my craft and how to share my unique stories with an audience. Be it stories about being a Chicana, a sister, a first-generation American or a young queer person. 

I have also learned how to work on professional film sets. I have amassed great knowledge about dedication in artistic work and leadership through my internships and previous jobs.
